This accessibility statement applies to AdamTill.com

Although this site is largely the personal project of a single person, we have developed this website with the goal to ensure that it is at least generally usable by everybody, regardless of age or disability.

Section 1 - Using Our Site

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

This means that you can:

  • Zoom in up to 200% without excessive text spilling off the screen
  • Change the size of your browser window and have text will reflow into a readable layout
  • Navigate the website using just a keyboard
  • Listen to the website using a screen reader

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

We also endeavour to account for folks using assistive technology, enabling all websites visitors to customise their experience through a range of options to suit their online accessibility needs.

Section 2 - Known Limitations

Whilst we try to maintain a high standard of accessibility on our website, there are some known limitations. These are documented below.

  • Some videos may not have captions

  • We may not provide audio descriptions for videos

  • We only speak english, and so cannot guarantee that the site will be entirely usable with translation programs like those offered by Google etc

Section 3 - Reporting Accessibility Problems with this Website

We’re always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you encounter content that you cannot access, then please contact us using our contact form or via one of the social media options linked in the footer below. I will provide you with an accessibility alternative.

If you are not happy with how to respond to issues you have raised with us about the accessibility of our website, then contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for ensuring websites meet accessibility standards.

Section 4 - Third-party content and functionality

We may make use of third-party resources that embed content in our website. Wherever possible we will ensure these are conformant.

AdamTill.com is committed to making its website accessible, and we aim for conformance with the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1) at level AA.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Section 6 - Non-Accessible Content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Known elements within the website do not conform to 1.3.1 and 4.1.2 making it difficult for assistive technology to convey information successfully.

Known elements on smaller screens do not conform to 1.4.12: AA and 1.4.4: AA making it difficult for the visually impaired to read.

Elements included from remote sources fail to comply with 2.1.1: A and 4.1.2.

Section 7 - What We’re Doing To Improve Accessibility

Our accessibility journey is continuing. We regularly scan the website to confirm fixes of known issues and schedule the fixing of any new issues.
